It’s a brand new year and time to kick off Q1 with the 10th SF MusicTech Summit – back on February 13th immediately following Music Hack Day weekend!
Our current sponsor list is impressive (check it out), but it’s not too late: we have room for more!
To attend, take advantage of my 10% discount code (promotoddtate) when you register at http://sfmts10.eventbrite.com/ – tickets are still around $200 so act quickly.
In case you still aren’t sure why you should sponsor or attend, check out the press! You should also educate yourself on the impressive history of speakers. Keeping with tradition, we’ve got a great line-up of speakers for SFMT X, including that sensational video duo, Jack Conte & Nataly Dawn from Pomplamoose, David Lowery from Camper Van Beethoven and Cracker, Jeff Price from TuneCore, Bram Cohen from BitTorrent, Ian Rogers from Topspin Media, Kristin Thomson from Future of Music Coalition (and over 75 more!). Add to this the always-quality attendees already signing up and the recipe for a great event emerges.
One speaker I personally am particularly looking forward to hearing is Martin Atkins, the author of the book “Tour:Smart.” Martin has years of experience as a drummer for such acts as Public Image Ltd. (can you say Johnny Rotten?), Ministry, Pigface (with Trent Reznor), and Killing Joke. Another esteemed author joining us is Jay Frank, author of “FutureHit:DNA” (which I highly recommend if you want some interesting insights into how digital trends are impacting music composition). He has a new book called “Hack Your Hit” coming out on January 31st. Both authors will likely be available for book signings – but because we have not yet confirmed whether they are bringing inventory, buy your copy online now and bring it with you for signing at the event!
Stay tuned for specific panel topics which emerge as the event approaches.
